Spring Auction Brought Over $1.8 Million

The Spring Skinner Fine Wines auction featured wines of  the finest vintages and vineyards on the globe. Of  particular note, twenty cases of 1982 first growth Bordeaux sold for over $50,000 each, eleven cases alone of Chateau Lafite Rothschild came from one singular cellar. Also in the auction were collections illustrating the depth of the ‘Yankee Cellar’ - collections that had been kept by the original New England buyer and stored ideally through the decades, highlighting mature wines from Rioja, Burgundy, Champagne, Bordeaux, and Piedmont. Skinner hosts its wine auctions twice annually in conjunction with our retail partner, Lower Falls Wine Company, a third generation wine seller located just west of Boston. Skinner is the only major auction house in New England to offer fine wines at auction. For more information or to consign wine from your collection, contact Skinner's Wine Department at 508-970-3296, or finewines@skinnerinc.com.
