The nation's "food conscience", Michael Pollan, delivered his usual thought-provoking lecture at Symphony Hall last evening.  We've caught the man before  - he's highly engaging and speaks with candid authority.  Pollan's strong point of view is both refreshing and surprisingly non-combative (stick to the facts). Among the interesting nuggets he ticked off, when MacDonald's first opened, their sole beverage serving size was 7 oz.  Today a small is 16 oz.  Which begs the question, why have wineries been so slow to "adapt"?....
