Each year we travel to Bordeaux to purchase wines directly for our shop. Over thirty years of visiting the region we have developed fruitful relationships gaining access to unique wines at favorable prices.

Tronquoy de Saint-Anne 2010 impressed us even more when we pulled a cork stateside than it did in France. It is a wonderful expression of the sizable shift in style of Saint-Estèphe over the last several vintages. We've noticed many bottlings becoming softer and more approachable while maintaining their classic broad shouldered character. Two-thirds Cabernet and one-third Merlot; it possesses cassis and brambly fruit notes, with supple tannins on the palate which firm up at the finish. Quite drinkable now without compromising it's authenticity or sense of place.

You will wish you had purchased more when cooler weather sets in.
