There is always something gratifying when a client expresses their enthusiasm for fine White Burgundy. Essentially they are saying they did not realize the complexity that the Chardonnay grape was capable of attaining. Simply put, there is just so much going on in a good White Burg that when one experiences it, excitement is a natural reaction. How can a wine contain so many aromas and flavors simultaneously? There is white peach, green apples, a bit of lime, a note of pear, spring meadow, minerality, wet slate, dried wood and more. Crisp yet persistent flavors dance around your mind long after you have finished your sip.

This particular White Burgundy makes friends year after year. If you require something a little special for vacation or a meal - this is not to be missed.

Terroir: Chateau Fuissé's Téte de Cru is a blend of over 20 prime vineyard sites throughout the appellation of Pouilly-Fuissé. Plots in Pouilly, with a high limestone proportion, contribute intense perfume yet more delicacy in the mouth. Those in Fuissé, where clay is more prominent, are less aromatic but fuller, more solid and structured. Vines are an average of 30 years old.

Vinification: Each vineyard site is vinified separately until the final blend is chosen following aging. 60% of the wine is aged in oak barrel (25% new) while the remaining 40% is stored in stainless steel to retain it's pure fruit.
