Lower Falls Wine Co. is happy to offer our clients subscription produce deliveries straight from Stillman's Farm on Wednesday afternoons. Come pick up your CSA box and some great bottles of wine at the same time!

What is CSA?

Community supported agriculture (CSA) is a cooperative effort of food distribution-a way of linking small farmers with communities all over the country.

How does Stillman's Farm CSA work?

You sign up for a subscription of 16 weeks of deliveries of your Stillman's Farm CSA box.  Each Wednesday, the Stillman's Farm crew will hand pack a box of Stillman's Farm produce for you. Stillman's Farm will deliver your box to us here at Lower Falls Wine Co.  We will keep it in cool storage...ready for you to pick up on Wednesday afternoons 12-4pm.

Stillman's Farm offers a small box ($432/season) and a large box ($608/season).  The season generally begins the third week of June and continues into October, lasting at least 16 weeks. There are no guarantees in farming, but Stillman's Farm CSA was among the first in Massachusetts and their over 35 years of experience shows in your CSA box.

A small member's box in July might contain: 1/2 pint blueberries, one half dozen corn, a head of lettuce, assorted squash, 1 pound tomatoes, 1 pound peas or beans, two cucumbers, a bunch kale...

A large member's box would be similar, containing not only a greater quantity, but also larger variety of items per week.

Some of the items you may expect to find in your box each week:

June: Strawberries, lettuce, swiss chard, kale, beets, peas, arugula, mesclun or spinach.

July: Blueberries, summer squash, zucchini, lettuce, kale, chard, other fun greens, tomatoes, corn, beans, cucumbers, carrots, beets, beans, and possibly peaches.

August: Blueberries, summer squash, zucchini, lettuce, kale, chard, other fun greens, tomatoes, corn, beans, cucumbers, carrots, beets, beans, peaches, eggplant, peppers, melons, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, apples

September: Blueberries, summer squash, zucchini, lettuce, kale, chard, other fun greens, tomatoes, corn, beans, cucumbers, carrots, beets, beans, peaches, eggplant, peppers, melons, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, apples, red peppers, onions, potatoes, winter squash.

October: Winter squash, apples, peppers, lettuce, carrots, beets, corn, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, onions, potatoes, eggplant, pumpkins and greens.
